Mt Calder Quarry is a family owned business running a quarry located on Mt Calder on the East Coast of Tasmania just 50 minutes north of Hobart.

We are a dolerite quarry crushing and producing rock and gravel of all sizes from large landscape rocks and walling stone, down to 10FCR, mixes and clean gravels.

​

Our rock has been tested to a high standard and is VicRoads accredited.  It is suitable for road base, gravel roads and driveways as well as drainage rock and under concrete slabs, tarseal and paving.

​

The rock is ideal for garden beds, pathways and rock walls or even as cladding for your home, as stone walls are not only eye-catching but also provide excellent insulation as well as a high degree of fire resistance.

We can cater for large orders but do require prior notice to ensure availability.  Other sizes/mixes available on bulk purchase orders.

We can arrange delivery statewide or you can collect direct from the quarry by appointment.
